Tumble en EspaƱol Kids Podcast Brings Science, Culture, and Language Together in Season 4

The critically-acclaimed science podcast for kids and families features Latino scientists in its new season. New episodes launch September 25, 2025

September 15, 2025 - Shake It Easy Media and Tumble Media are proud to present Season 4 of Tumble en EspaƱol, the first Spanish-language adaptation of a kids’ science podcast. Unlike any other science show for children, Tumble en EspaƱolĀ combines engaging storytelling with the voices of Latino scientists, making science discovery both culturally relevant and accessible to Spanish-speaking families. The new season of nine original episodes premiers Thursday, September 25, 2025 and is available on all podcast platforms including Apple, Spotify, and for the first time on YouTube.Ā

Each episode is more than just a science lesson, it is a celebration of language, culture, and curiosity. Kids and their grown ups will hear scientists from across Latin America and the U.S. sharing their own stories in Spanish, highlighting the often-overlooked contributions of Latino communities to science. For bilingual households and classrooms, Tumble en Español offers a rare opportunity to practice Spanish in a way that feels authentic, fun, and connected to the real world.

Season 4 offers nine brand-new episodes, including:

  • El ajolote salvaje (The Wild Axolotl) – How scientists in Mexico are racing to save this iconic amphibian, with veterinarian Horacio Mena.

  • ĀæAlguna vez no hubo nada? (Was There Ever Nothing?) – Exploring the beginning of the universe with physicist Jessica Esquivel.

  • ĀæPor quĆ© los capibaras son tan grandes? (Why Are Capybaras So Big?) – A look into the DNA of the internet 's favorite giant rodents from South America, with Colombian scientistĀ  Santiago Herrera Ɓlvarez.

Hosts Nuria Net and Álvaro Ramos bring humor, heart, and a fresh Latino perspective to every episode, helping kids see themselves in science stories and sparking curiosity across generations. In addition to Latino representation, season four of Tumble en Español includes episodes featuring blind and low vision (BLV)  scientists sharing their contributions to science, including  how to make space travel more accessible and creating tactile maps.

ā€œTumble en EspaƱolĀ is more than just a science podcast in Spanish — it’s a way for families to explore big questions together. We want kids to hear themselves in science stories and imagine their own place in the future of discovery,ā€ says Nuria Net, co-host and CEO of Shake It Easy Media.

ā€œWe’re so proud of our collaboration with Shake It Easy Media on Tumble en EspaƱol,ā€ adds Lindsay Patterson, CEO of Tumble Media and executive producer of Tumble Science Podcast for Kids. ā€œWe started the show to make Tumble’s approach to science storytelling accessible to Spanish-speaking audiences and to create space for more kids, and their grown ups, to see themselves in science.ā€
