A Teachers' Guide to the Total Solar Eclipse for K-8 Students

The total solar eclipse is coming on April 8, 2024! It's a great moment for educators to inspire curiosity and foster a deeper understanding of the universe. But how do you share this awesome experience with your students?

We've created an interactive podcast episode all about the eclipse featuring an immersive audio experience, games, a song, and more. It's called A Kid’s Guide to the Total Eclipse. Eclipse expert Vivian White describes what it feels like to be on the path of totality.

For classroom use, we've broken the episode down into segments on YouTube.

00:00 - Introduction 02:12 - Eclipse "Embodied Experience" 05:10 - Game Show Time with Contestants 10:47 - Game Show Time Lightning Round 16:07 - "A Total Eclipse of the Sun" Song 17:24 - Outro
